Technology is not the answer, Emergence is...

on 11 October 2009 - 1:49pm

There's a popular misconception that by constantly evolving our technology, we will be able to heal or prevent society's ills. Technology is not the answer, it can be used for destructive and criminal purposes as well as for the common good.

The emergence of a viable, future-responsive project of society based on prior unity, and a thriving movement supporting it, require the skillful combination of the talents and egoless actions of evolutionaries in civil society, social sciences, arts, media, business, and government, enhanced by our social and electronic technologies of freedom and collaboration.

Technology can open doors and let us develop the new individual and collective capabilities needed for transformation. To walk through those doors and use those capabilities, alone and together, is up to us.

I completely resonate with the evolution of technology fuelled by parallel evolution of our aligned minds, hearts and wills as a beautiful and aligned expression of the evolution itself...
